The Department of Basic Education (DBE) is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Program Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about education and want to contribute to the improvement of the education system in South Africa, this position might be perfect for you.
Job Description
As a Program Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing various educational programs and initiatives. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing program strategies and action plans
- Monitoring and evaluating program performance and impact
- Coordinating with stakeholders and partners to ensure program alignment and efficiency
- Managing program budgets and resources
- Providing guidance and support to program staff
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in program management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the education sector and current trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
